I WAS INTERNALLY GASPING AT EVERY PICTURE
rebloging this again because it’s gorgeous and never fails to make me smile
This is one of the most precious things I’ve ever seen. Beautifully done.
"He knows how to treat the woman right."
"I’ve written a song for my wife."
Fred was married 72 years to his wife. He wrote a song for her when he saw a songwriting contest advertised in the paper, and he couldn’t resist writing one for her. She had just passed a month earlier.
They had been together since the 30′s.
96 years old, Fred couldn’t play an instrument or sing, so he simply mailed in his lyrics, attaching his story in the letter. When the studio holding the contest saw his song and read his letter, they decided to record it for him and play the song for him to hear.
Grab some tissues before you watch this.
“This classmate turned best friend became the love of my life, and my very own fairytale ending. Our first date lasted over eight hours, as neither of us wanted to say goodnight. Later, she and I had the amazing opportunity to portray fairytale characters at a local theme park, a young boy who never wanted to grow up and the beautiful girl that flew away with him. After seven years of not wanting to say goodnight, I proposed to her and she said yes, and why not? Peter and Wendy turned out just fine.”

The woman’s name was Oma, and the man’s name was Shu. The great city was named Omashu as a monument to their love.
Rapunzel: For the record, I like Eugene Fitzherbert much better than Flynn Rider.
Eugene: Well, then you’d be the first. But thank you.
